American Youth Symphony | Alexander Treger, Music Director



Founded in 1964 by Mehli Mehta, the AYS has trained over 2,300 professional musicians and is recognized for the excellence of its educational activities and performances. The orchestra benefits tremendously from the support of alumni, who  hold positions with orchestras around the world. In Southern California, 32 graduates are employed by the LA Philharmonic, LA Opera and LA Chamber Orchestra.
